University scholarships

WHY?

We aim to fan potential into flame, gifts into flame, confidence into flame, and children of the urban poor into educated university students with a passion and a dream for their futures.

WHO?

Flame’s university scholarship program follows a long period of intentional individual input from Flame staff who have inspired and motivated them to complete Grade 12, built relationships, helped their families and trained them in life skills.  For those students who wish to go on to further study, Flame offers the opportunity to apply for a university scholarship.

WHAT?

Scholarships that will cover university fees and, if needed, some of their daily living costs are given after an application process and a family assessment. Students are required to a monthly one-on-one mentoring meeting with Flame’s staff to provide feedback and evidence of their results.
