COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
CHURCH EMPOWERMENT
Church Empowerment
WHY?
Many churches, particularly in the rural areas, want to reach out to their communities but don’t know where or how to start. They are often stalled by a lack of resources to set up a program and also lack the expertise needed to run effective community work. This leads to the church being isolated and inactive in their community. Flame has great programs and confident models that we can share to assist the church in engaging with their communities.
WHO?
Local Cambodian provincial churches could be considered that meet the following criteria:
Local churches that currently do not have any community outreach program.
Church leadership desires to reach and impact their community, and they are passionate about it.
They fully believe in the value of education for children.
The church has people who have the capacity for Flame to train in running an After School Program, PATH or LAMP program.
There is a physical space to run the program during the week.
WHAT?
Flame will:
Work alongside local Cambodian church leaders to assist them in setting up a program that will enable them to invest in the futures of the children and interact positively with their communities.
Provide 3 months of training to potential teachers to upskill them and provide ongoing upskilling as required.
Assist the church in setting up the physical space to be safe and inspiring for children.
Stand with the church for up to 2 years until they get to the break-even point and can support the community program they are running.
Provide ongoing support as requested.
