Water Water

Clean water is something many of us take for granted. We turn a tap, and there it is.

In the slums where Flame works, clean water is not at the other end of the tap, it has to be bought. Rithy, our 'almost-doctor'  runs the Mobile Medical Tuktuk, and has found a solution to the clean water issue: a water filter that needs no electricity, only water. Last night, he and Sothy (another Flame young leader who is studying to become a pediatrician) installed a water filter in a slum. This is the first we have done, and we will monitor and check to see if this is a sustainable solution. Keep Watching This Space!
